Jademetal is a crystaline, organic and self recovering material. It's heavy, but has physical properties which make it excellent armor. The fact that it recovers during combat greatly enhances the trooper's lifespan.
Jademetal armor still require maintenance, as the jademetal still needs to "feed" to repair itself. The process of the jademetal's repair scrambles aurum ("mana") which makes it a bad armor for magic users, while giving jademetal armor users defense against arcane weapons.
