Bio:
The ultimate halcyon on land mass production heavy armor vehicle, the avatar is a heavily armored, slow hover tank with the ability to hammer targets from afar in indirect fire thanks to its dual particle emitter batteries (which can also be fired at planes. Devastating against planes, structures and armor) and an equally devastating thermal laser cannon for close engagements. Excelling at support, defense and siege operations, the Avatars are produced directly on the battlefield, instead of being transported, due to their huge sizes. It takes a huge ammounts of ressources and 5 techpriests to complete the construction of this behemoth.

The avatar is by far the slowest and most armored halcyon vehicle, and is also the only one whose weapons cannot be changed in the heat of battle, and the only one which cannot be repaired during deployment due to difficulties with repairing the complex compact armor and machinery.

Once we know what the economy and military side looks like, then how do Halcyons do their politics?

Halcyons run in family-like clans, which can get very large. Clans almost never get along.
Usually, politics tend to be formal and relying a lot upon physical proofs, sharing and trials.

Is there anything like a leader in a clan?
If clans don't get along together then they either live seperated or rage war.

Each large clans are made of smaller houses, and are lead by a patriarch and a matriarch.
Each houses are also led by a patriarch and a matriarch.
Each houses are fully independent and able to survive on its own.

A specie of hostile creatures which employ advanced magic infused semi organic technology, mass clonning and genetic enhancements, and which thrive by raiding/assaulting other species/etc.
Basically evil specie.

You'll have to pay them in heavy water.
64121 halcyon requisition = 12824 litters of heavy water. (Water which was distillated and then electrolysised to remove the oxygen atoms)

So.... Liquid hydrogen? Thats not too hard for the Kaynish Alliance. XD [Since you know, we have a whole galaxy worth of planets to collect it from XD ]

Well, halcyons trade with atom economy. You'll have to drain rivers just for one of those. Which keeps halcyons' environments safe.

yup.

Or you can trade heavier materials, although liquid nitrogen is prefered as halcyons can use them in their power supplies, nanoforges and matter generators.

Hmm indeed. Kaynites kind of operate on a similar economy. Earlier on they used coinage and then credits, but it was thought to be too unfair and too clumsy in the end. So a sort of communistic economy was created within the borders of the alliance, and external races are treated with equivelent trade and sometimes tribute. So it wouldnt be too hard to obtain the resources required to trade for the ship, esspecially if it would benefit the alliance's military force in the long run.

Yep. You seldom have time for messy politics when youre too busy defending the galaxy from lovecraftian invaders from other galaxies.

Halcyons are too busy keep near extinct species alive (x3), holding a very hostile, highly advanced and in high number specie at bay over a huge barrier lasting solar systems, and keeping their own specie alive as possible, AS WELL as preparing to save the homeplanet of each species when the universe end, preparing for the next cycle. A cycle is a universe explosion (Where it starts with explosion, then implosion. Universe would be an ongoing explosion. )

Looks cool.

It's nose reminds me of that bit in Hyperdrive when the Queppu leader says "They said 'We will share our science with you, if you give us half your population to grind up in our mandibles.' You see, captain, us and aliens -can- get along."

The avatar is, although, a vehicle which halcyons don't like to use.

First of all, halcyons' military is more about adaptation and movement speed. Their vehicles tend to boast some fairly good firepower and excellent speed, meaning halcyon vehicles can outspeed what it cant outgun, which can lead to some pretty devastating ambushes. Halcyon vehicles favour manoevrability.

The avatar totally goes against that. It's the slowest halcyon land vehicle, all its weapons are hardpoints instead of turrets (Meaning the vehicle needs to face its target) and to make things worse, avatars, once built, cannot be repaired or upgraded.

Oh, and then you get the ridiculous production cost.
But then again, it's a land vehicle which can tear enemy forces, regardless of whether they are sea, air, land or space from a long range.
