7th legion warspider (side view) by madcomm 7th legion warspider (side view) by madcomm
The 7th legion warspider is a behemoth. Armed to the teeth for both orbital, vehicle and infantry threats, these monstruous, 60 meters big, 6 legged monsters are armed with 18 x quad particle projection cannons which can punch through tank armors and hardpoints with relative ease, 16x3 200mm fusion missile launchers which excell at taking out bases and emplacements and to finish, a huge "ASHRg", which stands for Annihilator Super Heavy Railgun. These units can be orbitally dropped, and can jump distances of an average 40 meters, and reach cruising speeds of 60 kmh.
The armor is extremely thick and dense, and the unit's equipment features repulsors shields which help deflect kinetic weapons, and a hybrid hard energy and gravitational shield, as well as a gravity field for tactical purposes. These units are rare, and tend to be used expressively to root out planetary emplacements.

To make matters worse, not only gifted with a heavy armor and a gun which can take out ships of the average size of 20 m of length to 150m of length with a single well placed ASHRg shot, but these units' shieldings are expressively designed to survive weapons of mass destructions such as nuclear missiles. It has been noted that large land forces comprised of tanks were able to deplete it's shielding and damage it severely, but the losses were severe,

Estimated threat: Very high
Rarity: 1-3 warspider per halcyon citadel

Abilities:
Orbital deployment: The unit can be deployed from orbit as a temporary orbital emplacement, and can orbital drop itself.
Orbital drop: Direct drop of the unit into enemy territory
Gravitation repulsion field: The spider packs up and lowers down, disabling itself as all it's energy is employed to drive kinetic and thermal energy flows upward, having proven to shield the unit from very heavy weapons, artillery and WMDs.
Very heavy armor at all points, with no notable heavy hull weaknesses
Sensor suite allows to detect stealth units

Estimated combat aptitude:
The unit is able to go into prolonged combat, and it has been calculated that ~ 400 tanks, or ~12 ships would be required to destroy a spider, were one to be deployed.
The structure can be deployed on a ship's surface, offering an extra, main ship grade gun, adding a solid combat and defensive ability upon deployment

Pros:
Self contained
Rather adaptable
Behemoth
Shock and awe
Raw firepower
Resilient to WMDs
Can take down huge amounts of forces
Excels at destroying cities and tactical land targets
Can kamikaze, detonating into a massive 50 kilometer radius, and leaving the area scarred and glassed for another 200 kilometers
Can take enemies at all ranges
Quite well defended
unscratched by small arms fire

Cons:
Expensive to repair and refit
Easily detected
While very resilient and well defended from WMDs and super weapons, can be damaged by vehicle fire.
Deployment requires the citadel to be in orbit for retrieval
Very long and complicated maintenance and build
Fairly easily avoided
Difficult to target small targets (e.g. soldiers) with this unit

Current ammounts in 7th legion: 5, 1 being built. 3 in harkon citadel, 2 in atlantis citadel, 1 being built in atlantis citadel
